How a Tankless Water Heater Can Save You Money

Posted by Brennan Heating and A/C No Comments »

Installing a tankless gas water heater is a very worthwhile investment and one that will pay for itself in a very short period of time. Most models last a minimum of ten years so you won’t have to make the investment again for quite some time. The main ways tankless gas water heaters save you money is on your heating bill. This is because the water is only heated as you need it rather than continuously. Since there is no tank to worry about, you won’t every have to deal with the expense of household items being ruined due to a leak like you do with conventional water heaters.

Lowering the heating temperature will also result in you saving more money. With conventional water heaters this can be tricky. However, the process is very easy with a tankless gas water heater. You can use a remote panel that is mounted on your wall to adjust the temperature for various water outlets.

If you are like me, you want the shower to be extremely hot, but you may be able to reduce the temperature for your sinks and your washing machine. For each 10 degrees you lower the temperature you will see an average of a 5% reduction in your energy bills. Lower temperatures have also been proven to make your tankless gas water heater last longer because less minerals and corrosion will build up. Consider insulating your water heater pipes as well, especially if the water is traveling three feet or more from the unit’s location.

It may surprise you, but many people decide to install a tankless gas water heater because they need the closet space! They compared prices and found it to be less expensive to invest in the water heater and gain a closet then to remodel their house so that they can have the extra space available. Home remodeling is often expensive and time consuming. This option is fast and it has multiple benefits, including gaining that closet back.

Many tankless gas water heaters qualify for the $300 Federal tax credit, so you will get a well deserved break in that direction. Make sure you inquire about this while shopping around for one. Some home insurance companies will also give you a discount on your home owners insurance if you install a tankless gas water heater. In most cases, the savings are even more if the water heater is installed outside.

While a tankless gas water heater is quite an investment, it will pay for itself over time. The best part is that once it has paid for the investment, you will keep saving money each month. Since most models last for a minimum of 10 years, you will be able to find many ways to use the money you save with lower energy bills when you install a tankless gas water heater.

Tankless Water Heaters, an alternative option to be cost effective!

Posted by Brennan Heating and A/C 4 Comments »

Tankless gas water heaters, alternately known as demand water heaters or point of use water heaters, have become quite popular nowadays, due to their attractive features such as cost effectiveness, easy installation, flexibility, less maintenance, and an unlimited supply of hot water.

In the case of tankless water heaters fueled by gas such as propane, the supply of hot water depends on the size of the burner. The functioning of a tankless gas water heater is simple. When the faucet is turned on, the burner within the heater is automatically ignited and this heats the water instantaneously. The unit shuts down when the hot water tap is turned off. Tankless gas water heaters have larger capacities than electric models, and can supply water to two or more showers simultaneously. They are also used to produce hot water for a single point.

Tankless gas water heaters are more economical because the cost of gas is approximately one-third that of electricity. Tankless gas water heaters eliminate storage losses and work more efficiently than tankless electric water heaters. Tankless gas water heaters have wider applications, as they supply hot water at higher flow rates. Energy savings, endless supply of hot water, low operating cost, reduced risk of power problems, space savings and durability, and safety and assurance are the other advantages. Further, a tankless gas water heater has a life span of 10 to 15 years.

Top-Quality Water Heaters Installed Quickly

We’re ready to get your household back up and running with the hot water you need and carry two of the best lines of top-quality water heaters – Rinnai and State. These water heaters feature the latest technology to give you energy-saving, safe and reliable operation. Our expert water heater technicians will work with you to ensure that you choose the water heater that is best for your household. We even offer tankless water heaters.

Gas Water Heater Advantages

Gas water heaters are the most common type of water heaters. Gas gets the water tank up to temperature about twice as fast as electric water heaters and costs less than half what it takes for an electric unit.

If you’re thinking about buying a new water heater, you may be wondering whether to get one that is gas-fueled or one that is electric. Natural gas fuels more than half of all water heaters; electricity heats most of the remainder. If natural gas is available, your next water heater should be gas fueled. Electricity is the fuel of choice when it is the only option – or where it is impossible to run a flue out the roof to carry the water heater’s combustion emissions. Gas is both cheaper and much faster at heating a tankful of water. So are propane, kerosene and oil, but they’re less convenient because they must be delivered (not piped) to a house.

  • Hassle-Free Installation

Our licensed, insured installers will be on time, courteous and efficient. They will:

  •  Deliver your new water heater
  • Inspect your existing water heater and provide a written quote detailing any additional work needed to bring your new water heat up to code
  • Drain, remove and recycle your old water heater
  • Connect your new water heater to existing gas or electric and water lines
  • Fill and test your new water heater to make sure it’s working properly
  • Provide guidelines for proper use of your new water heater
Clear and haul away related debris

Extend Your Warranty

Our water heaters come with a full one-year, in-home warranty, plus a limited warranty on tank and functional parts. We also offer several extended warranty options for additional peace of mind:

6/6: 6-year warranty on tank leakage and a 6-year warranty on parts
10/6: 10-year warranty on tank leakage and a 6-year warranty on parts
